Southport Presbyterian celebrated the Souper Bowl on Sunday, February 1, 2009 with a soup luncheon. Canned goods and donations were collected that will go to the Southport/Oak Island Interchurch Food Pantry. Other churches in all 50 states have joined in this effort and million has been collected for soup kitchens, food banks, and other charities across the nation.
