Presbyterian Women (PW) of SPC , a member of Presbyterian Women USA, welcomes all women to our church and hope you will find your spiritual home here. PW offers four different study circles, so you can choose one that is best suited for your schedule and bible study preference. We also sponsor social outings, retreat & workshop gatherings as well as opportunities for service and missions.

PW 2020 Retreat Scheduled for May 4 – 6

All women are invited to a Spring Retreat, May 4 – 6, 2020, North Carolina Baptist Assembly, Fort Caswell. Guests are welcome, and space is limited.
Come experience God’s peace and joy as we share stories, laughter, learning, prayer, good food, beauty of the land and some well-deserved rest. Cost is $100 per person, all inclusive. PW sincerely hopes you can join us in one or several study or service opportunities as we continue to build an inclusive, caring community of women who witness to the promises of God in this time and place. All circle bible study groups meet from September – May, and some circles get together for social outings during the summer months.

Meeting times: 1st Tuesdays, 9:45 am at the church
Bible Study: 2019–2020 Presbyterian Women/Horizons Bible study, Love Carved in Stone: A Fresh Look at the Ten Commandments.
September 2020 Morning Circle, will begin a new study “Into the Light, Finding Hope through Prayers of Lament”. The cost of the of guide is $11 and can be ordered by contacting Diane Price or Judy Osborne.

Afternoon Circle: Moderator, Laura Cacchoine
Meeting times: 2nd Wednesdays, 1:00 pm at the church
Bible Study: Testimony: Talking Ourselves into Being Christian by Thomas G. Long
The book explores how in a world of spin, slick marketing, mindless chatter, and easy deceptions, the hunger for truthful, meaningful, and compassionate speech is ultimately grounded in truth about God.

Afternoon WOW (Women of the Word) Circle Moderator, Judy Wetzig
Meeting times: 3rd Wednesdays, 1:00 at the church
Bible Study: The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew–Three Women Search for Understanding by By Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner. The book weaves the story of three women, their three religions, and their urgent quest to understand one another.

Evening Circle: Moderator, Cynthia Evans
Meeting times: 2nd Tuesdays, 6:30 pm at members’ homes
Bible Study: Life Lessons from John by Max Lucado
This is one of a series of books about the New Testament that is filled with intriguing questions, inspirational storytelling, profound reflections, and space for journaling.
