New Panels Improve Sound in Sanctuary
The last phase of a three-year project to improve recognition/clarity of the spoken word in the Sanctuary was completed in January with the installation of echo suppression panels. This project was in response to comments by our members and visitors regarding difficulty in hearing sermons and readings that were muddled and hard to understand. We expect there will be some fine-tuning of the audio in the next few weeks. Major steps in the project included:
– Agreement with our audio equipment supplier as to ‘best fix’
– Modification of 5 HVAC systems to reduce background noise
– Ability to easily add video to the Sanctuary when we became a Zoom congregation due to the new electronics.
We trust these efforts will enhance our worship experience for many years to come.
